Recently the poster of Johnny Depp has taken a different turn as the former musician and teen idol has taken on the very famous role of a pirate in one of the most successful film franchises in the history of movies, the Pirates of the Caribbean. Depp's creation of the character of Captain Jack Sparrow has earned him a whole new legion of fans and the huge success of the three Pirate movies has earned him a whole new level of respect from Hollywood, a level of respect that he had been fighting for his entire career. It was said that Depp put everything on the line for the first Pirates movie and if it didn't pay off then he could have been ruined both financially and in his career. Luckily for everyone, it paid off very well.
