About Jax

Jax Perry is a Boston-based artist who has dedicated herself to painting after transitioning from a lifelong career in dance. Over the past several years, she has honed her skills in this new artistic medium, utilizing paint as a vehicle for storytelling, while blurring the boundaries between realism and surrealism. Although Jax explores a wide range of subjects in her art, one of her most prominent interests lies in the realm of science. Alongside her artistic pursuits, she also works as the research lab manager in the division of Hematology and Oncology at Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard. When Jax is not immersed in her scientific endeavors, she currently is focusing on improving her skills in photo-realism by recreating old family photographs. Her paintings capture moments and weave a narrative that, much like in dance, transcends the need for words.
